As mentioned in my first post, the third of my “Three Pillars of Quitting Warm Turkey” relates to changing my daily habits in order to promote the level of health and energy I’ll need to make my way to the “promised land” of freedom from Adderall.
To that end, I understand that as a human being, discipline is not an unlimited resource, so I have to be careful not to attempt to make too many big changes at once.
In fact, my guess is that if I’ve done this process correctly, when I get to the other side, it will feel as though I went a little overboard in terms of how gradual I was with the changes, not only in dosage, but with my lifestyle changes in general.
Adderall aside, right now the habit that seems most disruptive to my life is the habit of staying up too late.
Some late night activities are actually time well spent, even if it means I miss out on important sleep.
For example, playing the keyboard in my headphones is extremely uplifting and a great way to “set the tone” for my body’s overnight reset and subsequent start to the day.
But more often than those productive late nights, I find myself “binging” on solitiude in the form of late nights spent scrollling through Youtube or Instagram, which is counterproductive and robs me of precious energy I’ll need throughout my day ahead.
[Loud Record Scratching] You know what?
Fuck this, I am trying to make this blog perfect and comprehensive.
From here on out, I am just going to put down whatever comes into my head and not worry about possibly monetizing this thing or making it “perfect” or whatever.
I don’t really feel inspired to do the whole “Step-by-Step Guide to Quitting Adderall” thing right now anyhow.
Moving on…
