Trying to eat healthier around here has been a process! We were so used to eating things that were unhealthy, but lets be real- tasted amazing. We have found that the best way to keep up our diet changes has been to make things that also taste amazing. We simply could not sacrifice flavor and stay happy. Throughout this whole process, we have found that eating healthy can be easy, cheap and taste phenomenal!
Which brings us to this recipe.
This recipe is loaded with veggies, uses a homemade spice mix (bonus points for knowing whats in your food!) and is made with fresh, low calorie ingredients. It can be easily adapted to be vegan, gluten free or add meat and cheese if you prefer. This is a super easy, very versatile recipe.
This dressing was creamy, delicious, and tasted similar to sour cream and onion chips. As I said in my last post with the recipe for this spice mix, I think it would work as a great dip, and some minor tweaks (like adding peppercorn) would make it take on new flavors. Whether on its own or used as a base, this spice blend is AWESOME.
If you are a food prepper, having your veggies cut up can cut the work and preparation time of this recipe so that it is a super easy weeknight dish for busy weeknights. Make extras, because it would also work as a fantastic lunch.
Don’t sacrifice taste or work your butt off in the kitchen! Make this and thrive 🙂
This was seriously one of the most delicious things EVER. My husband even asked if we could make it for his work lunches.
If you try it, let us know how it turned out in the comments! Also please share, and spread the word that healthy food can be cheap, easy and taste amazing!
